Itty Bitty Summer Reading Program

We've opened our non-independent summer reading program to all ages, starting from birth! We even gave it a cute new name- The Itty Bitty Summer Reading Program. This program is for children ages 0-4 or kids who are not reading independently (up to age 12).

• Read a total of 100 books with your child between June 23rd and August 22nd. Books can be repeated throughout the program (we all know a kid who only wants to read Little Blue Truck one hundred times in a row, right?).

• For every 25 books you read, come to the library to get your art piece to put on our Summer Mural with your name on it! Readsquared will tell you've earned your art pieces! Pick them up at the Children's Department anytime during open hours.

• Stop by the library starting on June 23rd to pick up your Library BINGO card! Each card contains missions you need to complete in order to earn a button. Once you’ve completed a card, come back to the library to collect your button. You will receive only 1 button for the first completed BINGO card. But you may complete as many BINGO cards as you'd like all summer long!

• Missions include things like helping your parents make dinner, working in the garden, and cleaning up the neighborhood.

• We are excited to announce that our grand prizes for our Kids Summer Reading program this summer is a book themed gift basket with goodies from local shops and more!

• Read a total of 1500 minutes  between June 23rd and August 22nd. 

• For every 375 minutes you read, come to the library to get your art piece to put on our Summer Mural with your name on it! Readsquared will tell you've earned your art pieces! Pick them up at the Children's Department anytime during open hours.
